It’s the weekend, and you’re looking for something fun to do with family, friends, or as a single ready to mingle. If you want to stay local, there are tons of things to do in Orlando, including fine dining, outdoor options, and amusement parks galore. For a guaranteed good time, we recommend checking out these seven Orlando adventures.

1. Tour the Kennedy Space Center

The Kennedy Space Center is a staple of the Florida tourist circuit and for a good reason: It’s historical, educational, and just downright cool. If you have kids who love space, there’s no way you can miss this attraction. Day tours are available and may include the following:

  • Visit the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame
  • Virtual Shuttle Launch Experience
  • Tour of launch pads and rockets

2. Take a Hot Air Balloon Ride

If you have a craving to look at the world from a different perspective, you should board a hot air balloon. You can snap amazing photos of Central Florida’s waterways, orchards, and forests, all while soaring among the clouds with an experienced pilot at the helm. Want to take your honey on a memorable date? Many places offer champagne for a romantic post-flight toast.

3. Enjoy an Ice-Cold Beer at American Social

Adventure is great for the daring, but what if you just want an evening filled with good food and great company? American Social is one of the premier sports bars in Orlando, with a lively atmosphere and some of the best bar food you’ll ever taste. It’s a fun place to hang with friends and cheer your favorite team or meet new people who share your interests.

4. Make Memories at Universal Studios

If you want to go all-out this weekend, why not visit the Universal Theme Parks? No matter your fandom, there’s plenty to keep you busy:

  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
  • Volcano Bay
  •  Islands of Adventure

You can grab a Butterbeer at the Hog’s Head, do some prehistoric sightseeing at Jurassic Park, or ride some water slides at Volcano Bay.

5. Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth at The World of Chocolate Museum

Who says museums have to be boring? At The World of Chocolate Museum, you can learn about the history of chocolate — and try a few samples while you’re there.  A guided tour takes you through the displays, which include chocolate sculptures, chocolate-making machines, and artifacts from the Mayans and Aztecs, who were the first people to use cacao, the main ingredient in chocolate.

6. Save the World at Zombie Outbreak

Have you ever wanted to be in a video game? Zombie Outbreak lets you live out this fantasy with a group of friends as you try to save the world from rabid zombies. You’re equipped with realistic weapons and must hunt down zombies in real-time before the staged military research facility is overrun. It’s a perfect day for anyone who loves action, teamwork, and the undead.

7. Discover Incredible Creatures at the Safari Wilderness Ranch

You don’t have to go all the way to Africa to experience a safari. Zebras, camels, and ostriches roam free within this green oasis, which means you can get up close and personal. Make sure you bring your camera for amazing pictures you can’t get anywhere else.

Situated in the Green Swamp, the Safari Wilderness Ranch is part of a conservation program dedicated to educating the public and preserving Florida’s watersheds. That means that when you visit, you’re not just having a fun time — you’re supporting something truly great.
