Unique Things to Do in Boca Raton, FL

From the widely popular to the lesser-known, here are the best things to do in beautiful Boca:

  1. Spend a long morning on the beach.

You can’t come to Boca Raton without enjoying at least a few relaxing hours at Red Reef Park. It’s a stunning staple of the Boca experience, boasting 64 acres of breathtaking views and soft sands. Whether your beachgoer style involves a nap in the sun, exploring the boardwalk, or some water adventures, you can find it all at Red Reef Park. Don’t be surprised if you spot some marine life in the areas – being here will make you feel like you’ve been transported to a tropical paradise.

  2. Get to know the historic side of the city.

If you have an appreciation for local history, the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum is a must-see. It’s located in the city’s original Town Hall, which was built in the 1920s and is an impressive example of the area’s historic architecture. Guided tours are available, making the museum a great place to spend a rainy morning.

  3. Go flyboarding.

Part-jetpack, part-hoverboard, flyboarding is fun and futuristic activity making a huge splash in the world of water adventures. It looks like something straight out of The Jetsons and is one of the most exciting and unusual things to do in Boca Raton. There are various vendors that offer flyboarding, most situated along Boynton Beach, so you can book a session pretty easily.

  4. Check out the Broadway costume collections at the Wick Theatre and Costume Museum.

As it turns out, you don’t have to visit New York City to get an up-close experience with Broadway theater! Right here in Boca Raton, theater enthusiasts can discover an incredible collection of costumes and accessories from Broadway eras gone by. See pieces that took center stage in the early 1900s, and learn about Boca’s own little slice of Broadway that still exists today.

  5. Take a fun – and FREE! – trip to the Daggerwing Nature Center.

Everybody loves a free attraction, and the Daggerwing Nature Center doesn’t disappoint. The space covers 39 acres, including a 6-mile elevated boardwalk above the wetlands. The variety of wildlife in the center is amazing, so you can look forward to spotting all kinds of native creatures. If you enjoy photography, or even just want to share some wow-worthy snaps to your Instagram, be ready with your camera!
