There’s no doubt that we couldn’t have accomplished this major milestone without the guests and team members at our restaurants in Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Lauderdale. AmSo went from being the new kid on the block to becoming one of the most popular things to do in Miami – and boy has it been a wild and exciting ride.
From One Restaurant to Four… Soon to Be More
When we first opened our doors in 2012, we knew that we had something special. Offering a decidedly upscale, yet comfortably casual dining experience, American Social aimed to be the neighborhood bar and restaurant we all wanted but didn’t have.
Instead of limiting ourselves to a traditional sports bar concept, we took things to the next level by incorporating first-class entertainment and award-winning food – and we presented it all in a stylish, welcoming, and laidback atmosphere. Our chefs put a creative spin on all-American dishes, elevating everyone’s favorite comfort food classics. Craft brews and handcrafted cocktails provided plenty of options for a perfect pairing, and our bar menu was set up to include more than a few nods to the best craft breweries in Miami.
Now, we’ve grown to four restaurant locations and an incredible number of loyal, longtime fans. And soon, we’ll be expanding even more: American Social in Boca Raton will be opening shortly! There are also several other South Florida locations on the horizon, so you’ll want to stay tuned to find out where we’ll be touching down next.
Plans for Expanding the Fun at AmSo in Fort Lauderdale
If you’ve been to our Las Olas location, then you might already know that it’s the original American Social. So, as you can imagine, this Fort Lauderdale restaurant is one that holds an extra-special spot in our hearts.
American Social on Las Olas is already home to the city’s best Happy Hour and a must-try weekend brunch. Plus, with events like our all-you-can-eat Taco Tuesday and half-priced bottles on Wine Wednesdays, it’s the place to be every night of the week.
As our first restaurant approaches its 10th birthday, we have big plans in the works. We’ll be expanding the Las Olas location, making it significantly larger to allow room for more friends and fun. With more space, AmSo will be able to host a wide variety of pop-ups and private parties. That means that anytime you have a special occasion on the calendar, you can count on having it right here.

Here at American Social, we’re honored to have had the privilege of becoming a fixture in the Miami restaurant and bar scene for nearly a decade (and counting). Our mission was to launch a high-energy hangout spot where guests could come for fantastic food, a full bar, sports, music, and tons of memorable moments – and we can now say that we have absolutely succeeded.
So, what’s next? We don’t plan to stop growing anytime soon, and you can bet that we’ll always be striving to be counted among the top Miami restaurants. Other than that, our focus is going to stay on giving guests everything they want in a hip neighborhood bar and restaurant, where the food is crave-worthy, the drinks are cold, and there’s always something fun going on.
