What's On
Hurricane Relief Initiatives at AMSO
In the wake of Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, our beloved Florida communities in Tampa and Orlando are facing unprecedented challenges. Hundreds of thousands of residents are currently without power, food, and essential resources. At American Social Bar & Kitchen, we believe in the strength of community and the importance of coming together in times of need and are advocating for support from those who can spare it.
How We’re Helping
We’re proud to announce several initiatives to support those affected by the storms:
1. Support for Tampa in Partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay
We are committed to making a significant impact on food insecurity in our community. With a mission to provide meals for those in need, we’ve made an initial donation of 100,000 meals.
In partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay, we’re excited to share that every dollar donated will provide 5 meals to families facing hunger. To amplify our efforts, a portion of sales at all American Social locations over the next week will also be donated, with a goal of reaching 500,000 meals donated by the end of the week. We’ve set up an additional GoFundMe page to support this cause and help reach our goal: CLICK HERE to Donate
2. Support for Greater Orlando with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida
For our Orlando community, we’re proud to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank, another dedicated partner of Feeding America. We’ve kicked off our support with an initial donation of 20,000 meals. In this partnership, every dollar will provide 4 meals to those in need. Like our efforts in Tampa, a portion of sales at all American Social locations will go toward reaching our goal of 100,000 meals for the Greater Orlando area by the end of the week. We’ve set up an additional GoFundMe page to support this cause and help reach our goal: CLICK HERE to Donate
3. Humane Society of Tampa Bay
In a heartfelt move, we’ve launched a GoFundMe page to raise funds for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Our founder & owner’s dog, Tally Mijares, who bravely weathered Hurricane Milton in South Tampa with her dad, Rick Mijares, is our inspiration for this effort. Every donation will help provide care for animals impacted by the hurricanes. We’ve set up an additional GoFundMe page to support this cause and help reach our goal: CLICK HERE to Donate
How You Can Help We invite our community and beyond to join us in making a difference. If you have the resources to contribute, please consider donating to our GoFundMe pages for both the Humane Society and the meal programs. Every little bit helps, and together, we can provide much-needed support to those who need it most.
Thank you for being a part of our community and for standing with us during this challenging time. Let’s come together to support each other and rebuild our beautiful Florida!
